The high rate of increase is shown in the application of single - phase motor as power supply for many type of equipments in home, offices, shops and factories. And there will be an increasing demand in motor as power supply for industry, for example in textile factory, spinning, printing machine etc. The problem in industrial application rises, becouse the equipments require simultaneous starting motors attached to the system of power supply. The sudden increase of current, at the time the motors are coneccted directly to power supply systems, can came faults in the factory electrical system. One of the faults is the voltage dip. This condition becomes worse if the starting current occursfrequently. For that reason, it is necessary to find solution to handle the problems. One of the solution is the methode how to determine the capacitor size attached to the motor so that it can limit the excessive increase of current but the starting tourqe produced is high.
