Isi artikel
The aim of this paper is to explain why some part - time workers do not accept a wage gap between them and regular full - time workers when they are aware of it. As the proportion of part -time workers increases, various issues related to their teratment are being identified and debated. One issue is the difference in wages between part - time and regular full - time workers. Recent reseach into the disparity in income in japan reveals that since the 1980 s there has been a widening of the wage gap between part - time and regular workers. The wage gap in japan is on a par with that in britain or the united states. Some people think that a wage gap between part - timers and regular full - time workers is unreasonable when part - timers and regular workers generally engage in the same work. Others, on the other hand, feel that part - time workers have fewer restrictions on their working houes and and bear less on - the - job responsibility. Thus, even if it may appear they are doing the same work as regular workers, their work is qualitatively different and consequently a difference in wages in natural.
