Broiler chickens raised in the tropic accumulate more body fat than those raised in the temperate zone. The deposition of abdominal fat during math period is an indication of excess energy intake. The unbalance between dietary energy and protein content in the tropic could cause an excess of energy intake during growth period. An experiment was conducted to study the Energy seducement dazing the finishing period, quality of carcass, body composition, role of finisher diet, and the proper balance between dietary energy and protein content. On this experiment. 40 males and 40 females broiler chickens were fed finisher diets providing 2800, 3000, 3200, 3400, and 3600 kcal ME/kg, with the sail pretend content. The energy requirement for broiler strain Arbor Acres during the finishing period was 5378 kraal/ bird/ 14 days. The increase of energy con tent in finisher diets decreased feed consumption and protein intake; while the body weigh gain and that:; quantity of energy intake were not significant.
