Isi artikelAn experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of using urea in sheep ration which contain palm kernel cake or.. feed intake and nutrient digestibility. Sixteen growing sheep were used to be arranged in randomize block design in. metabolic trial. There are 4 treatments and 4 blocks as replicate. The treatment were 4 levels of urea that are: 0%, 0.2%, 0.4% and 0.6%. The result showed that the use of urea in palm kernel cake ration was a non significant difference in feed intake and digestibility of dry matter, crude protein and crude fiber (P> 0.05). Though not significant there was a tendency that the increased of using urea as nitrogen source in palm kernel cake ration, will increase protein consumted, protein digestibility anti average daily gain. the highest average daily gram of sheep was 162.89 gram in 0.6% urea. It can be concluded that 0.6% urea is prefer used in palm kernel cake ration of sheep.
