The application of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) is one of the mainfactors to increase fertilize. effectivety, because the AMF is able to increase nutritional absorption by their mycelia. The AMF can also increase the resistance of plant to disease and dryness. The aim of the research is to know the response of oil palm seedlings to AMF application as biological fertilization. The experimental has been conducted from done since October 2000 to January 2002 in oil palm plantation. of PTPN VI, Batang Ran, Jambi. This research consist of three steps, as fol1cws: inventory of AMF, multiplications of AMF inoculant and application of AMF on oil palm seedlings with different dosages (0,5 and 1 (i 9 AMP inoculant / seed) The result showed that. Glomus,spp were dominant in of palm oil PTPN VI Batang Hurl, Jambi. The response of oil palm seedlings to AMY application were started at pre nursery and more significant at main nursery stage. This response showed in increasing dry weight, P-absorption and disease resistance of the plant.
