As you consider the contents of this first issue of volume 8 of organizational research methods, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude and thanks to the many colleagues and friends who have contributed to ORM's success. It has been nearly 10 years since I first conceived the idea for this journal and approached both sage publications and the research methods division of the academy of management about its creation.
