This paper is a preliminary study of agrammatic patterns in Indonesian aphasics. Neurolinguists generally believe that Broca's aphasics suffer from the impainnent to the phonological system, but have been debating whether the grammatical component of language is also impaired. Therefore, this paper attempts not only to learn about the agrammatic patterns among the Indonesian aphasics, but also to answer the question of whether the syntactic deficit of Broca's aphasic is caused by the failure of grammatical processing in the nervous system or by other reasons.
