Isi artikel
Women typically report more violence in intimate relationships than men do, even when members of the same couple are queried. This suggests that men are either purposefully denying abuse, or are simply less accurate observers of violence. An experimental study was conducted to test the latter hypothesis Sixty romantically involved college couples were shown films depicting Doth violent and nonviolent husband-wife interactions, and asked to report the frequency with which both violent and nonviolent events occurred. Results indicated that men were more accurate in reporting violent events while women were more accurate in reporting nonviolent events.
