The completion of my term of office as editor of the journal of cross - cultural pscyhology provides me with an opportunity for reflection. It has been my great pelasure to participate in the development and growth of the journal over the past 6 years. Like my predecessor, John Williams, I feel that many of the accomplishments of an editorship are actually due to the efforts of persons other than myself.
