This paper is mainly based on the theory by Block (2010), that viewed globalization as an increasing process of communication, events, activities, and relationships occurred in local, national or international dimension. In this globalized era, where the communication is unlimited, it is urged especially for university students to maximize every media particularly in supporting their education. In accordance with the situation mentioned above, where globalization plays its role for learner’s educational development, English language also comes as a leading language to be utilized for accessing the information. The skyrocketed amount of English language users also gives the impact to the people that learning English is necessary. Therefore, this paper intends to answer three questions related to why English becomes important for them, what are the benefits of learning English and how they learn English itself.
