This research entitled “Pragmatic Responses in Practice of Dental Hypnosis: An Empirical Study in Indonesia’ analyzes language aspects of a dentist when having interactions with his/her patience using hypnosis practice. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative one with pragmatic method and conversation analysis. The theories used are those which relate to speech acts; locution, illocution, and perlocution. While the data are taken from 33 audio visual record data in total duration 7.5 hours. With helping of the method of conversation analysis the date were analyzed. The result shows that the responses from the patiences not only therapeutical but also depending on the context of a discourse.
