Isi artikelIn curriculum 2013, multimedia or ICT is one of the tools which can be used by the teachers in order to provide the effective teaching in classroom. ICT in education generally means technology-based teaching and learning process that closely relates to the utilization of learning technologies in schools. In information communication technology, there is a term e-learning, a term that combines pedagogy and technology in this technological era. This study is designed to figure out teachers’ perspectives of ICT in curriculum development in providing the effective teaching in senior high school. Descriptive qualitative study design is chosen to get the depth of understanding about the investigated issue. Semi- structured interview and the instrument of the study were close-ended questionnaires. The findings showed that ICT helps the teaching activity more effective and efficient. The whole purpose of using technology in teaching is to give better values in teaching. ICT in teaching helps the students to comprehend the aims, objective and goals of the subject taken. ICT and curriculum development have a strong relationship in providing the effective teaching. Moreover, the institution should support and monitor the teachers, so they can provide the effective teaching.
