In healthcare, a quality management system (QMS) is used to systematically manage and improve the quality of medical treatment in a hospital. ISO 9001 certification and guidelines for hospital accreditation standards are used in many hospitals to construct such a system. In this study, guidelines for hospital accreditation standards were analyzed with regard to their use as evaluation items. As a result, the relationship between QMS and the guidelines was clarified.
