Isi artikelIn a Steel Industry, there is a lot of diversity in the profile of employees & the knowledge requirement at different levels is different. While in Organizations we find Knowledge Management systems in place to enable knowledge sharing across the educated lot, involvement of shop-floor employees is not very common. Even in Tata Steel the KM journey initially focused towards executives, but very soon the realization to involve the shop-floor employees became very evident. Initiatives like Knowledge Manthan, MASS & Knowledge Cascade have played a key role in meeting this challenge; this paper is an attempt to summarize Tata Steel’s shop-floor knowledge journey.
