People are corner stone of company. Hence, Safety policy adopted is ‘Safety of a person overrides all production targets’. While procedures were in place to achieve safe operations, there was a need to achieve sustained Operating excellence. This warranted the use of ‘First Time Right’ approach, in maintenance department, ensuring no-rework, consistent efficiency and no incident. This approach was deployed using a world class concept of PSM titled ‘Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance’ – MIQA to ensure safe and reliable operations of equipment handling toxic and inflammable chemicals in severe process environment.
