The project was started in 2006-07 as the Corporate-NGO-Community partnership program with the aim to improve the livelihood of the poorest community who could not harness the benefits of development and lagged behind in the process of inclusive growth. The vegetables worth Rs. 5.5 lacs were sold during last year through Mother Dairy New Delhi by vegetable growers cooperative. The impact analysis data shows: a) That the earthen dams (Paals) harvested 12,23,000 cubic meter of rainwater out of which 11,20,000 cubic meter percolated down and reversed the trend of ground water depletion b) The erstwhile dry wells have been revived and tube wells which used to run out of water in four hours now run for 8 hours. c) Reclamation of waste land and adoption of improved packages increased crop yields by more than 150% d) The family income of targeted families increased by 300% from the sale of vegetable crops. e) More than 100 women self help groups started piggy banks.
