Behavioural economics integrates economics science and psychology science in analysing the behavior of individuals. One of the arguments in favor of the significance of the use of behavioural economics is the explanatory power of economic science in explaining the psychological aspects of individuals in the process of economic decision-making, both individually and institutionally. This article aims to examine the contribution of behavioural economics in theory and see the practical application of the behavioural economics. This article consists of a discussion of the approach and methods used in behavioural economics. The main methodological approach used in this article is a literature review and theoretical analysis in the field of behavioural economics. Factors that encourage the increased interests in behavioural economics are first delivered, followed by definition and key insights of behavioural economics. Theoretical justification for the development of behavioural economics as a branch of social science is presented prior to conclusion.
