Unemployment is still one important issue to be addressed in developing countries, especially in Indonesia. Rising unemployment in Indonesia is also not free from economic problems such as uneven economic growth m several provinces in Indonesia and unstable inflation rate. The purpose of this study is to see how much influence between inflation and gross regional domestic product of the level of unemployment in Indonesia. In addition, the purpose of this study also indirectly to prove whether the theory of AW.Philips applicable in Indonesia. This study using panel data regression analysis with tools econometrics Eviews 7. The results of this study indicate that the regional gross domestic product (GDP) is significantly negative effect on unemployment in the 30 provinces in Indonesia, while inflation significantly positive effect on the unemployment rate in the 30 provinces in Indonesia. Positive relationship between inflation and unemployment from the results of this study indicate that the theory advanced by AW. Philips does not fit in the 30 provinces in Indonesia In 2004 to 2010.
