This study aims to describe the forms of coordinative constructions, markers, and deletion system in the Waijewa dialect of the Sumba language (WDSL). The data sources were native speakers of WDSL and the data were collected through interviews. The data were analyzed using the distribution method by dividing the elements constituting coordinative constructions. The findings are as follows. First, WDSL has two forms of coordinative constructions, i.e. syndetic and asyndetic. The syndedic construction is lexically marked by conjunctions such as monno ‘and’, baka ‘then’, takka ‘but’, and atto ‘or’. The asyndetic construction is marked not lexically but semantically to show a chronological order meaning. Second, in WDSL there is a direct deletion of the agent argument (A) in a transitive clause or the subject argument (S) in an intransitive clause in the syndetic and asyndetic coordinative constructions. The marker for the deleted argument still appears in the clause structure. The deletion of the object argument (O) in a transitive clause occurs only in the syndetic coordinative construction and there is a structure revaluation from the agentive diathesis to the objective diathesis.
