This paper proposes a student-based innovative value model for higher education institutions (HEIs). The research initially identifies the critical service attributes based on student perspective, utilizing existing models, and integrating them, to develop an integrated preliminary innovative value model for HEIs. Conceptual development of the integrated model takes place through extensive literature review of higher education performance (HedPERF) model, refined Kano model, blue ocean strategy, and customer value model. These existing models provide the practical and theoretical supports that can enhance HEIs’performance. This conceptual model will help HEIs to propose more efficient and value-added improvement policies of their education service.
