Those are needed to make students able to write in an organized manner and the message can be transferred to the reader. In teaching writing, it is hoped the students not only able to produce a text, but through writing they also can develop their social networks, support their personal and spiritual growth, communicatie professionally and academically and build relationship with others. Process-genre approach is the methodology that not only focus on the product but also the process. Thus, this study aimes to investigate the processgenre approach in teaching writing. The case study research design was used in this study. Observation and interview were employed in this study to collect the data. . Then the data were analyze by organizing data, transcribe data, coding the data, representing findings and then interpreting the findings. The findings revealed that process-genre approach is the suitable approach to teach writing in an EFL classroom. This approach not only make students able to produce a text, but also make them involve a lot in process of writing so they can develope their writing ability.
