Isi artikelHigh bed occupancy and patient turnover rate increase the workload and stress level of nurses, which may contribute to lowered job satisfaction and high nursing turnover. Psychological empowerment refers to a state of motivation regarding working environment, which may improve job commitment. A new hospital bed management system has been introduced, with strategies to facilitate the supervisors’ decision making in patient allocation, improve communications between clinical departments, and soothe the stress of the frontline nurses. This intends to improve patient service, as well as internal customers’ work effectiveness and satisfaction.
