Shifting from local to global is difficult to breakthrough, but not the one from Korea. Drawing on an distinguish success of Samsung, this study extends beyond the performative perspective by exploring how entrepreneurship and transformation leadership, as collective accomplishment, are recreated within small company and transform to the giant power electronic conglomerate. In particular, I examine the integrative constitution of micro and macro-foundations of the new management of initiative: 1993, with the ultimate goal of becoming one of the world’s largest corporations. The approach of this study attempts to develop endogenous explanations of Samsung’s absorptive capability, organizational routines, and capabilities. In addition, organizational design and individual level antecedents are also examined to explore the management of emerging absorptive capacity from the actions and interactions of employee, organizational, and interorganizational antecedents. In particular, this study identify management conceptual that may guide others local companies to fully exploit and apply Samsung’s magic of management to thrive on global opportunities and shifting company to achieve in the global market.
