Transportation consumes one-third to two-third of logistic cost. Considering the number, it is important for an organization to minimize transportation cost. In this study, the transportation aspects being addressed are determining the optimal distribution route and vehicles utilitation.The problem is commonly called Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). In the case where there are more than one types of vehicle used, it is called Heterogenous Fleet VRP. For the purposes, tabu search was used to find the the route. TS algorithm is an efficient metaheuristic algorithm to solve NP-hard problem as VRP. The result shows 21.53% reduction of total distance and 17.24% reduction of total cost from existing route
