Grammar is one of parts in teaching and learning English. Based on 2013 National Curriculum of Indonesia, grammar is taught indirectlythrough context of communication. On the other hand, based on the preliminary research conducted in some schools, it was found that some teachers taught grammar in separated way. This study aims to investigate the implementation of focus on form method in teaching grammar in public vocational school. This descriptive qualitative study obtained the data form two sources, including classroom observation and a teacher’s interview. The findings of this study show that the teacher teaches grammar using focus on form method. The teacher employsfive out of eight principlesoffocus on form method: conversational focus on form, teacher initiated, student initiated, explicit feedbackfocus on form, and implicit feedbackfocus on form. It could be concluded that the teacher has taught grammar based on context of communication, although the teacher did not implement all of principles of thismethod.Therefore, it is recommended that English teachers should employ all the principles of focus on form method in order to maximize students understanding about grammar. In addition, it is also suggested that English teachers should add an extra meeting to explain more about the material if the student confused about the material.
