This paper analysis the development of indonesian coals demand and supply pecially some influencing factors and coal industry structures. The estimation method used is multiple regresion analysis using panel data and market concentration ratio. The analysis uses five coal consumer industry sectors, the biggest four coal importer countries, and five coal producer provinces. THe study finds out that the factors influencing domestic demand are coal relative price, Industry sectors income, and dummy DMO. Meanwhile, exported demand is influenced by exported coals relative price, gross domestic income (GDI) per capita of export destination countries, real exchange rate, and DMO dummy policy. Indonesia coal supply is influencedby exported coal price for industries, coal price for power plant sector, real exchange rate, and the expanse of mining areas. Market structure analysis finds out that indonesian coal industries are classified for having oligopoly structure.
