2013 Curriculum is persistently turning out to be a burning issue up until now since it has beenbeing implemented since the couple last of years and getting a lot of attention from several parties including teachers. Concerning with this newly applied curriculum, this study aims at investigating what difficulties teacher encounters in designing lesson plan. Though there was a research conducted related to this issue, this study was going to obtain more information about the difficulties. This study used a qualitative case study and interview was employed in collecting the data. The data were descriptively analyzed by focusing on the difficulties the teacher faces from the transcription of the interview. From this study, it was found that the teacher still did not understand about 2013 Curriculum matters and was confused in designing some elements of lesson plan in terms of the phases of Scientific Approach. She also got some difficulties in making the students pose a question and in allotting time of the activity. Therefore, this study recommends that government should provide some training for teachers so that they will have more understanding about the curriculum and teachers should keep on learning and conduct an evaluation in terms of the changes of educational system.
