Isi artikelThe first case of selective impairment in retrieving verbs in comparison to nouns, following brain damage, was reported in 1744 by the Neapolitan philosopher G. B. Vico. He considered such observation experimental evidence of the correctness of his theory on mental organization of language, thus anticipating the methods of cognitive neuropsychology.
