Isi artikel
Batch scheduling problems to minimize the so-called actual flow time where parts in a batch are individually processed have been discussed in literature. In the literature, the actual flow time of a batch is defined as an interval between arrival time of the batch and its due date, and the actual flow time of all parts in a batch is a multiplication of the actual flow time of the batch by the number of parts in the batch. In practical situations, there are many cases where parts in a batch are processed on a batch processor where the actual flow time of a batch is the same as the actual flow time of all parts in the batch. This research is to address a problem of scheduling batches consisting of a single item processed on a batch processor where the completed batches must be delivered on a common due date. An algorithm to solve the problem is proposed.
