Isi artikel
Sleep apnea syndrome (SAS) is a disease which causes breathing to stop or hypopnea during sleep. The disease sometimes causes a traffic accident due to heavy sleepiness. This disease is highly related to obesity, blood pressure, hyperlipidaemia, diabetes and might cause various complicating disease. In recent years, it is reported that the number of patients in this disease has been between 1 million to 2 million in Japan. Diagnosis of this disease is roughly divided into two ways: diagnosis with Apnomonitor or Polysomnography (PSG). However, both of the diagnoses require attaching complicated sensors to a body and they need high costs. Therefore, this paper presents a SAS detection system which does not require special equipment. This system observes sleeping patients with a camera, and discriminates SAS. Photography environment is the state that a room is bright and photographs the chest of the person to be reflected all. The picture down-converts a frame rate to 1Hz and do Multi-Scale Entropy (MSE) analysis and calculates MSE. And an assorter is made from these parameters by support vector machine (SVM).
