In this paper, the effect of drug-drug interactions was studied in the different specialties for the elderly living in Taiwan. The association rules and hypothesis testing technologies were proposed to analyze the data from the teaching hospital. The results showed that the four out of every 100 patients are under the threat of drug interactions and the proportion of drug-drug interactions is highest in the Cardiovascular Medicine.
