Isi artikel
The objective of this paper is to develop an organizational change algorithm in terms of ‘PROCESS’ model. In order to fill up the theoretical gap existing between business processes re-engineering (BPR) and organizational restructuring (OR) in the past literature, a coupling-oriented organizational change algorithm is developed and ‘Coupling Strength’ (CS) is introduced in developing the algorithm. ‘CS’ indicates the connecting strength among the operational activities, working group or organizational departments. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm, an empirical case study is conducted. The result reveals that the improvement of total process time is about 13%, comparing to that of the existing system. The implications of the research findings are further discussed in the paper.
