Transition from analogue to digital broadcasting which promises many few opportunities has motivated International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to urge all countries to immediately perform it. Most countries also have realized the importance of it. However, there are many challenges which make the transition process are relatively slow, including in Indonesia. This study chose Sweden and United Kingdom which have totally switched off their analogue broadcasting and migrated to digital. It was done to explore their technical challenges and the efforts to cope with it. It analyzed the current status and circumstances in Indonesia and created the proposed recommendations.
