Isi artikel
Interest in Chicano (Mexican-American) literature has grown in the past decade. Teachers of Spanish, both at the college level and in high schools, should begin to look closely at this new field and to seek ways to introduce the language, literature, and culture of Chicanos to their students. For many teachers, Chicano literature is just as "foreign”as that of Spain or Mexico, since they live in areas of the country with no Hispanic population. This essay is an attempt to share experiences gained from a successful introduction of this material to Anglo students.
