Isi artikel
This paper presents evidence supporting the claim that, in addition to the long-acknowledged areas of lexicon, phonology, and syntax, the area1 hypothesis for South Asia is also supported by shared features at the discourse level in both Dravidian and Indo-Aryan. Using data from Malayalam and Hindi as representative of the two language families, shared features are documented in four separate areas of discourse grammar.
