Isi artikelIn order to improve and upgrade the service quality of public agencies, the Taiwan government had been devoted to many innovative activities, such as administrative innovation and governmental reengineering, etc. For improving the service quality, the influences of leadership style on organizational performance through the capabilities of knowledge sharing and organizational innovation has been considered as one important factor. Literature examined the relationship between innovation and performance and asserted a positive relationship between leadership style and both performance and innovation. However, few empirical studies analyzed these relationships together. Hence the objective of this study was to explore the relationship between leadership style and organizational performance. This study took the subordinated agencies of Taoyuan County Government as the population, and adopted stratified and convenient sampling. A total of 800 questionnaires were mailed out and 285 valid replies received. The research results support the hypotheses that (1) Leadership style positively influences knowledge sharing, and organizational innovation, but indirectly influences organizational performance. (2) Both knowledge sharing and organizational innovation can positively and significantly affect the operation of learning organization. (3) Organizational innovation and knowledge sharing are the key roles as intervening variables between leadership style and organizational performance.
