The healthcare system of the Republic of Kazakhstan has got a great positive changes during the last 10 years. Therefore JSC "National Scientific Center of Surgery named by A.N.Syzganov" (hereafter NSCS), became as the leading surgical clinics in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which employs experienced specialists and researchers, including 18 doctors and 36 candidates of sciences. Scientific publications of 18 employees of the Center awarded by the official Prize of the Government. There are specialists who are members of the International Association of Surgeons and various international academies. Amount of staff of them is increasing during the last several years, for example, we see the dynamics of growth in the years 2008-2013: 2008 - 644, 2009 - 659, 2010 - 680; 2011 - 684, 2012 – 700 and in 2013 it became 726. During that period of time the Scientific Center developed of highly specialized medical services rendered for tens of thousands of patients. In recent years, implemented many advanced technologies of surgical organ transplants, in particular, produced 592 kidney transplantations, 7 auto grafts and more than 20 kidney transplants for children. The Scientific Center strives to improve the quality of medical services to achieve a high level of patient satisfaction as well as for the effective provision of government programs for surgical care to the population of the country. Therefore during several years successfully implemented many international standards concerning to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Along with this, the Scientific Center has successfully implemented Quality Management System (QMS) according to ISO 9001:2008. By the senior management with the involvement of all the staff were discussed and approved the Policy and Quality objectives. Also approved the Mission and Vision of the Scientific Center as of leading scientific and surgical organization in the country. In order to achieve competitiveness, leadership and sustainable development Scientific Center has developed and implemented a Business Excellence Model of European Foundation for Quality Management at the level "Committed to Excellence". During the realization of this project have been implemented Fundamental Concepts of Excellence as well as three improvements projects, and the validation was provided. In accordance with this the staff has got a very valuable experience, in particular, they identified the Strengths of the Center as well as Areas for improvement
