Across many industries and countries we see manufacturing firms shifting their focus to services and solutions. Instead of selling products, they are seeking to sell service provision. Servitization, which means that a physical product is no longer the basis of exchange and the process of value creation that translates business strategies into value to customers and suppliers’ is changing dramatically. Today, the healthcare industry is facing trends which challenge its current model as well as other manufacturing firms. These challenges are especially affecting manufacturers, also called technology providers. However, healthcare industry is typically categorized as service sector. Therefore, it is not proper by applying manufacturing paradigm to servitization of healthcare industry. This paper investigates the phenomenon of servitization in the healthcare sector. With the use of case studies, the paper researches how servitization impact on new trends in healthcare industry and how this is affecting its business
