Isi artikelThe newest curriculum in Indonesia is Kurikulum 2013. It implements scientific approach and focuses on student-centered learning. Based on Permendikbud Nomor 54/2013, it consists of four basic competences, i.e. religious competence (KI1), character building competence (KI2), knowledge competence (KI3), and skill competence (KI4). In applying lesson plans, teachers are supposed to do the following steps of learning: observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, communicating, and creating. The goal of the study is to analyze the teaching learning process conducted by PPG (Pengembangan Profesi Guru/Education for Teaching Profession) students in their peer teaching activities based on Kurikulum 2013. PPG students are undergraduate students who join Dikti program of SM3T (Sarjana Mendidik di daerah Terdepan, Terluar, dan Tertinggal). In this program, they practice teaching in remote areas for one year before having in-service training in chosen universities. In this training, they are supposed to do micro teaching as their simulation. One of them to be a teacher, and the rest of them are his/her students. The method of this study is descriptive qualitative. The instruments used in this study include observation sheet and interview. The result of the study describes the problems of English PPG students in applying their lesson plans in their peer teaching. The significance of this study can be both for Unnes and for English PPG students. For Unnes, this study can give some input to improve the PPG program in implementing kurikulum 2013. Whereas, for students, this study can improve their understanding of kurikulum 2013 so that they can implement it well in their real teaching classes.
