It is unarguable that in the business competition era, human resource development within the organization to increase their work motivation is very important. However, it is not easy to develop the employee’s work motivation, unless there are real consequences of their performances. Such a case has been proven by Bayer Indonesia Enterprise. The management of one of its manufacturing operation has developed the attitude of its employees to increase their work motivation In the beginning management’s effort made little result, but after the management implemented a punishment system the result was very significant Such a case is discussed in this paper.
