Children speaking more than one language, termed as bilinguals, have an awesome task: they must learn two or more linguistic systems. Several psycholinguists suggest that those children have two different ‘language machines’ in their brain; whereas, some others claim that only one ‘language machine’ controls the management of the two linguistic systems possessed and exploited by the children. Having observed the process of transferring English to bilingual children at a state kindergarten and interviewed the teacher who conducted the process, the results show that the English teaching-learning process is focused on the vocabulary building. This was performed by introducing the phonological system such as spelling and pronunciation of the words that were presented to the children. Except for that, the learning process showed good achievement of the children in spelling and pronouncing the words as they could copy the way the teacher read and pronounced them. On that account, the results seem to support some psycholinguists who claimed that children who start the learning of a language within their critical period will get better results than who start after the elasticity of the brain for language learning has declined.
