The language is a product of the development of a culture that has the strength and uniqueness realized in the lexicon. The development of Sundanese repertoire was determined by time and the social situation in West Java. It is evident in the naming of places and streets that are associated with sociohistorical factors and geographic activities. This study aims to describe (a) the toponym in West particularly the lexicon of sensation verbs of sight; (b) the meaning of the toponym forming; (c) the relation of meaning based on its meaning components, and (d) the relationship between the lexicon of sensation verbs of sight in West Java Toponyms and the socio-cultural factors in West Java community. In addition, the purpose of this study was to explore a number of lexeme expressing the sensation verbs of sight ‘lihat’ in Sundanese. The number of lexeme contributes to the vocabulary of the branch of the Austronesian language family. Sundanese has 34 sensation verbs of sight tenjo/nenjo, tempo/nempo, sawang/nyawang, pelong/melong, neuleu, ningal, ngintip, noong; whereas, Indonesian has lihat with the components of intip, intai, and pandang. The data were collected from respondents, Sundanese dictionary, some tabloids, magazines, internet, and the monograph of Bandung city.
