This study was aimed to analyze the influence of organizational factors such as severity of financial performance, free assets, asset retrenchment on turnaround outcomes of non financial companies listed at the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2008 to 2011. A sample of 107 non-financial companies was taken from the Indonesian Capital Market Directory. It consisted of 92 non recovery companies and 15 recovery companies. To identify distressed companies that have turnaround potentials, a discriminating model was used. A logistic regression model was used to detect organizational factors that contribute to the success of the turnaround. The result indicated that the severity of the financial performance, free assets, and size were strongly linked with the likelihood of a turnaround success. Yet, the analysis also revealed that there was not significant relationship between asset retrenchment and turnaround outcomes.
