Isi artikelThe aim of this paper is to investigate the use of foreignization in Woku Manadonese Restaurant menu. To analyze the translation in the menu, some pictures were taken from a menu of Woku, Manadonese Restaurant in Central Jakarta. Intralingual and interlingual dictionaries, as well as corpora such as BNC and COCA, were utilized to analyze the problematic words. To verify the accuracy, a correspondence was done with a native Manadonese. It was found that the restaurant has used foreignization and there are some problematic foreignized terms. Suggestions are offered to make the translation look better and to make it more comprehensible to the customers.
