People have different interests and abilities, so how do we help them to realize their potential in order to have a successful career and meaningful life? RIASEK is a career module that has been developed, based on the well-known Holland's person-environment theory for the purpose of identifying people's interests and helping them to realize their potential, explore the world of work, and plan their career paths. The module consists of workshop materials in a package and contains information for career exploration (which is organized according to Holland's six environmental types), a personality test (which helps individuals to identity their interests), and strategies (workshop procedure) to assist the counselor running the career workshop. Some of the materials can be used by individuals independently, and the module has proved useful after being tested several times with different groups of people (high achieving students, low achieving students, average students, and fulltime employed).
