The objectives of this research are (1) to know the counseling teacher's attitude towards the implementation of her profession obligation, (2) to describe the effectiveness in implementing the counseling teacher's obligation towards her profession. This research was conducted at SMA N1 Medan of which research subject is 9 counseling teachers whose education background is counseling. The result of this research has found out that the attitude of those counseling teachers in conducting their profession obligation is rather bad, and the implementation of the counseling teacher's obligation towards their profession is rather bad too. It is suggested that those counseling teachers and the counseling teacher to be are given the opportunity to take training, attachment, and professional counselor course (PPK). By improving the education, point of view, knowledge, and attitude, the counseling teachers' skill will increase as well. In addition to this, the principals are given knowledge about the roles and the duties of those counseling teachers at school.
