The objective of this research is to examine empirically about the information content of stock split announcement at Jakarta Stock Exchange. The sample of this research is 19 sample firms which is reported stock split announcement between 1st January 2004 to 31st December 2005. The result of this research show that stock split has information content which is statistically significant responded by the market around the date and one day after stock split announcement.
