Translation as one part of Applied Linguistics needs to be learnt seriously since students must possess a good skill of translation. Translation is an issue in Applied Linguistics that has developed rapidly. It is a process of transferring a writer’s idea to target readers. In a process of getting well-done translation, the students should face some steps. Editing and proofreading are parts of translation process. Students can learn their mistakes through their edited works. With the fast development of technology, editing and proofreading students’ translation works can be facilitated. The tools that can be used to assist a translator are the Track Changes and Comments features in MS application. By using these tools, the teacher can correct students’ error when translating texts. Teachers can also demonstrate to students how translators and proofreaders do their job in the real work field. Therefore, this study will examine how the tools can be used to correct the error of translation work. In general, this paper will analyze the approaches and procedure used in Track Changes and Comments Features to evaluate and edit students’ translation work.
