Isi artikelTo reduce the prevalence of HBV and HCV infection, identification of potential risk factors is a very important effort to enhance the reduction of hepatitis B virus and especially hepatitis C virus infection, since no vaccine against hepatitis C is available. This is a study, conducted in 1995, of 582 people (255 males, 327 females) from Kali Anyar country and of 101 patients (72 males, 29 females) with hepatitis B and hepatitis C at Atma Jaya hospital. All individuals were examined for HBV serological markers and anti HCV. Evaluation of potential risk factors and behavioural risks for HBV or HCV infection was based on the report from the questionnaire assessed by an interviewer reading the questionnaire. The result were coded and processed in the SPSS / PC and bivariate analysis was performed by contingency tables...
