Pratama Teknik is a spare part distribution company for heavy equipment such as tractor gearwheels, sprocket gear and etc. Many similar distribution companies cause a high level of rivalry in acquiring and maintaining customers and clients. The large variety of products drives the company to improve its product registry system, which currently is still done manually. The current information system for inventory supplies rely on a book called the slock book. The large number of items means there are a lot to be manage and lots of daily transactions which causes frequent mistakes from the warehouse division who collects travel documents from suppliers, sale invoices, sale return memos, purchase return memos from products that comes in and out every day. The documents needed to update stocks occasionally gets misplaced or even lost. This condition causes the difference between the amount of stock in the stock book and the actual stock in the warehouse. Therefore, a computerized information system is needed so stocks updating activity can be done faster and more precise. Design of a computerized information system using System Life Cycle (SLC) Method consists of five steps; Planning Stage, Analysis Stage, Design Stage, Application Stage and User Stage. The computerized information system process proposal uses Microsoft Access 2003. The design stage uses data processing with Logistic Information System which its database design uses a few designing steps. The first step of the database making is creating a process logic model which consists of making the Context Diagram System and Data Flow Diagram (DFDJ. The second step is making the data logic model using Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) where relationships between entities given are created. The third step is making the interface logic model using data-to-process CRUD matrix and process-to-location association matrix. Then database programming is done shown through a physical construction The last step is to validating and verifying the output result. The conclusion of this paper is that the inventory information system made with Microsoft Access 2003 program can minimize the errors from travel documents, sale invoices, sale return memos, and purchase return memos which are misplaced or lost in the stock updating activity.
